Character Age: Real age unknown; physically appears to be 10
Character Gender: Male
Canon Point: After he says goodbye to the PC, but before turning into Ryoji.
Character Canon History: Here!
Character Personality:
Pharos, for all intents and purposes, is a small, creepy child. At the beginning, he hardly remembers anything about who he is, but he has an awareness and understanding of anything included in the Dark Hour. However, since he doesn’t exist outside of the Dark Hour, he has pretty much no idea about anything not included in it, making him incredibly naive about how things operate in the world in general, but still capable of grasping and talking about larger concepts, such as fate and death. Because he’s not really human, not to mention what he actually is, Pharos has little trouble in particular discussing death, and even admits that before knowing the PC, he never considered it to be a problem. He’s very fatalistic, believing that death and the Fall are both inevitable concepts.

Despite this rather depressing (to the PC, not him) outlook, Pharos is very curious about the PC’s experiences with life and emotions, developing a clearer idea of what it meant to be human through her. He takes pretty much everything she says to him to heart, almost always consenting that she would know something more than he does, because his range of knowledge is so limited. He grew very fond of her over time, even eventually taking to calling her ‘my dearest.’ With her (because he can’t be seen by anyone else), he’s generally very friendly and willing to answer questions... provided you ask the correct ones. He winds up being kind of cryptic unless you’re very specific about what you’re asking, though he sees no actual reason to lie to someone.

Because the PC is the only one who can see him, Pharos is very lonely. This doesn't come through but so often because he cherishes his time with the PC and is always happy to talk with her, but he goes so far before he leaves as to call their friendship a 'miracle'. He truly enjoys the little time they have to converse, and treasures the memories he has with her. (In a way, this combination between his curiosity, friendliness, and loneliness explains a lot about the character he becomes in Ryoji, who goes out of his way to talk to new people and deeply values the friendships he forms.) However, even at the end when he recovers all of his memories of what's to come, he shows very little in the way of remorse, focusing on how much he cared for PC in contrast to the fact that he was going to destroy her world. This could indicate little care for anyone outside of his personal social circle (small as it is), instead mourning the loss of a friendship than a mass loss of life.
AU Information: Everything that happened in the main P3 story is the same for Pharos, except the PC is a girl and Pharos calls her ‘my dearest’ once in a while.
Character Abilities:
Aside from showing up in the PC’s room in the dead of night, Pharos shows no overt powers during the course of the game. However, at the canon point I am taking him from, all the seperate Shadows are now joined with him so he theoretically should be able to transform into Death, and potentially the Nyx Avatar though people would have to want the end of the world for that to happen. Death’s powers are also unknown, but they are probably similiar to that of Thanatos. Because he is a more powerful Shadow, he also should be able to summon lesser ones. He is also incapable of being killed by anyone but the PC, and even then it would only kill his form, not Death itself.
Character Inventory: Just the clothes on his back.
Interaction Sample: From a while ago, but should still be good... if needed I can provide a more recent sample.
Third Person Sample:
When Pharos had said goodbye to Minako, he’d expected those to be his last words. They should have been the last moments of his existance. He was complete once again... though perhaps with even more than he’d had when he’d been broken apart in the first place. Could that be what’s doing this? Could the slight piece of humanity he’d acquired be stopping him from fulfilling his role, and bringing him... here?

Admittedly, Pharos didn’t know about many places outside of Minako’s room. Technically, he’s probably been anywhere she has, but he doesn’t remember much of those. Even so, he’s pretty sure this place is somewhere even Minako hasn’t been before. She’s not there either, which is a weird feeling after being with her and pretty much only her for so long. But he had said goodbye.

The boy hops up from the bed, looking around the small room. It wouldn’t be interesting at all to most people, but for him, even a stark room with not much more than a bed is interesting if only because he’s never seen it before. It also winds up taking him more time than normal to notice the letter on the bedside, seeing as he’s examining every inch of the room. He’ll stop at the table, taking the letter and reading over it. And... admittedly getting rather stuck on the part about physical contact. Wait. So will people be able to see them. Will he actually be able to touch people?

He might be alone (again), and with not much information about what he’s doing here (again), but... just like last time, it looks like at least something good will come from it.
